One of the most prevalent excuses people have for not following their dreams is not having the time to do so. We get it, everyone has bills to pay and instead of following your true hearts desire, most people settle for a job or career that they truly do not like. Well, all is not lost. For just 30 minutes a day, everyday, you can live your dream.
The key ingredient to living your dreams is consistency. That’s why you have to dedicate 30 minutes a day, 365 days a year to who you really want to be. There are no off days when it comes to doing what you really want to do in life. Some dreams are more competitive than others; therefore, they may require more than 30 minutes a day to achieve. However, 30 minutes a day is a great start. Because before you know it, 30 minutes will become 45 minutes, and 45 minutes will become an hour and so on and so forth until you have reached your critical mass.
For example, if you absolutely love basketball, being an NBA player is a very competitive dream, with only approximately 400 positions available to billions of people on the face of the earth. But, living like an NBA player is very much achievable. Traveling from city to city, staying in the best hotels, eating at the best restaurants, etc., is something you can be doing by turning your love of basketball into something marketable.
So, sometimes we may have to tweak our dreams based on varying factors, nevertheless, still stay true to what it is you truly are and what it is you truly want to do. With that being said, if you want to be a motivational speaker, spend 30 minutes a day learning techniques that motivate people. Or better yet, do something great to motivate people and then tell that story to even more people. If you always wanted to be a stock broker, but are currently a bartender, spend 30 minutes a day participating in tangible actions that will lead you to become a stock broker.
Some people may say its not that easy. I need money, licenses, degrees, etc., to achieve my dreams and it’ll take much more than 30 minutes a day to achieve. As stated above, start with 30 minutes a day, even if you only allot 30 minutes a day for the planning phase. Every great dream needs a plan, so start there. Plan your steps out carefully, and before you know it, you’ll start to attract the other things you need to realize your dreams organically. You’ll take the quantum leap, the abrupt change or step that will lead you in the right direction.
Go now and start your journey, 30 minutes at a time.
